What you'll eat on a kayak trip with us
Food is an essential part of every camping trip, and we like to say that “while you can’t control the weather or the wildlife, you can control the food!” We focus on providing a range of sustainable and locally sourced ingredients. We’ve swapped out the traditional hot dog and canned beans for hearty, nourishing, and satisfying meals that are kind to both your body and the planet.
OUR MEALS
From fresh green salads and roasted baby potatoes to responsibly sourced lingcod, followed by freshly baked local treats and seasonal fruit, it’s a pleasure to share nourishing meals while soaking in some of the most breathtaking scenery. Meal options vary by tour, but all are carefully crafted to be both delicious and satisfying.
With meals as memorable as the views – from hearty breakfasts and simple, delicious lunches to abundant snacks, tasty appetizers, flavourful dinners, and sweet treats. Check out our Menu Overviews below to get a sense of what to expect on each trip, including how we accommodate dietary needs.
Coming soon!
Our International tour menus are typically arranged by our local partners in Chile, Baja, and The Bahamas. Please contact us if you have dietary concerns.
If you have dietary restrictions or allergies not listed above, please contact us at [email protected] to discuss if we are able to accommodate your needs and any additional charges.
Snacks, snacks, snacks! There’s never a shortage of food on our tours to keep you fueled on the water. Enjoy trail mix, fruit leather, granola bars, pepperoni, chocolate, and more. Guests are also welcome to bring their favourite snacks!
DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
We’re happy to welcome guests with diverse dietary requirements on many of our tours. Here’s how we can accommodate you. If your dietary requirements exceed the listed alternatives, please let us know by reaching out to our office at [email protected]. Additional charges may apply.
ALLERGIES
Before your tour, we’ll ask you to complete a detailed allergy form so we can assess the extent of your allergy. This helps us decide whether to pack alternative options for you or request that all guests avoid bringing products containing your allergen. Please note that while we take every precaution, we cannot guarantee that our meals will be completely trace-free, given the remote nature of our trips.
OUR BEVERAGES
We are very fortunate to have world-class coffee roasters on our little island, importing ethically produced, sustainable coffee. Helene and Peter of Aroma Roasters supply us with freshly roasted, fair trade, organic, shade grown beans produced by a women’s cooperative in Mexico and Peru.
Fruit juice, teas, and hot chocolate are also all provided for your enjoyment. You are welcome to bring wine, beer and spirits* for enjoying responsibly with your meals.
*We ask that alcohol consumption be reserved for after the day’s kayaking activities are complete. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
We take great pride and pleasure in serving you the best food for your adventure!
Happy eating!
