FIRST PLACE WINNER

CHRIS HAVARD

WHALES AND WILDERNESS EXPEDITION

Wins a credit of $1000 towards a future tour with us

“Our guides Jenna and Sierra kindly took our group out on an evening kayak (off script). It was beautiful watching the sunset and the calmness settle in for the evening. Best of all were the numerous wildlife sightings – one of which was a gorgeous heron, captured above keeping an eye on Sierra whilst she navigated her way through the winding passages. Not a bad office you’ve got yourself Sierra!”

SECOND PLACE WINNER

MEGAN HOLLSTEDT

NUCHATLITZ EXPEDITION

Wins a credit of $500 towards a future tour with us

“On a whim I joined a single spot on this trip. A week to dream, pack, panic, then leap into adventure. It was a beautiful mix of new friends, quiet moments, medicinal laughter, and the magic that the coast brings to the soul of anyone lucky enough to paddle its waters.”

THIRD PLACE WINNER

ROBIN HOPFNER

WHALES AND WILDERNESS EXPEDITION

Wins a credit of $250 towards a future tour with us

“The photo was taken on Swanson Island during our Whales and Wilderness Expedition with Mak and Malcolm. After being catered perfectly by our guides (as every day!), we enjoyed the breathtaking sunset on the beach together. We were all really settled into the tour and it was simply wonderful, knowing that we still had more beautiful days ahead of us as a team.”

OUR VIDEO WINNER

JACQUELINE ZERBE

WHALES AND WILDERNESS EXPEDITION

Wins a credit of $250 towards a future tour with us

Six unforgettable days on the water with an amazing group that quickly felt like family. Guided by Mak and Malcolm, we paddled through mist and silence, where kayaking felt like gliding through clouds. We camped in remote places that made us feel small – humble guests in the raw beauty of nature. Surrounded by wildlife and endless horizons, we were reminded that this is the real world – not the one behind our desks.

SPECIAL MOMENTS

Francesc Parera: Johnstone Strait Ultimate

“Seated before the sea, the horizon becomes a mirror where the soul reflects itself. From the shore, the murmur of the waves and the majesty of the wild landscape, with mountains veiled in clouds, remind us how fleeting we are against the eternity of nature. In this moment, time stands still and the everyday world fades away. It is a time for me, for us, to reconnect and create memories together while keeping our gaze fixed on the Johnstone Strait, hoping that wildlife might grace us with its unpredictable visit. And little by little, our troubles shrink until they dissolve into the clouds.”

Natalie St-Denis: Whales and Wilderness Glamping

“I experienced a very special moment early one morning on our Kayak expedition. Unable to sleep, I was up early, hours before everyone else, when I suddenly heard a humpback whale exhale through its blowhole in the distance. I ran to the spot on the island that had a polished rock bluff where I could see, far into the horizon, the whale’s spray. I began to sing a spirit-infused Cree song gifted to me by my friend, Cree-Metis singer songwriter Moe Clark. To my amazement, the 15-meter long whale came towards me as I kept singing. This majestic creature came to visit and surfaced twice, first with the front part of its body, perhaps taking a peek at where the sounds were coming from, and then again with it’s dorsal fin emerging just 20 meters from where I was standing, as if saying hello. In that moment, I felt intensely connected to all life and an immense sense of belonging, the kind you feel deep in your bones and in your spirit. I will carry this heartfelt memory throughout my lifetime.”

Erin McInnis: Southern Exuma Cays Expedition

“They told us there were pigs on some of the islands in the Bahamas. But we were not expecting Petunia. As the only pig on the island where we spent the first two nights of our Exuma Cays kayaking expedition, Petunia was a very curious girl and decided to come make friends. But when she got a little too friendly, our wonderful guide Cait had to break out every tool in her arsenal to keep Petunia away from our tents, our kayaks, our food. Kayak paddles worked okay at gently steering her away from our tents, banging pots was less effective. But it turns out that singing Chappell Roan’s Hot to Go at the top of her lungs was the key to getting Petunia to wander off and let us eat dinner in peace.”
