Johnstone Strait Ultimate: 4 day kayak tour

Visit our new Photo Album Here

Our Johnstone Strait tour location is a hot bed for many Killer Whale pods. They return in large numbers every year to the Robson Bight Ecological Reserve to do their annual rubbing rituals. Scientists are amazed by this Orca habit and, as of yet, cannot figure out the purpose of it. It remains an unexplainable phenomenon, and may just simply be for pure pleasure.

Our basecamp has probably one of the best views you'll ever eat to. With a covered area set up by our three guides, there is always one guide or two who make sure everything is running smoothly and the food is ready in time for hungry bellies.

Eagles are abundant along the west coast of British Columbia. As scavengers, they are plentiful in the Johnstone Strait where they come to feast upon the salmon, just like we do.

The addition of a hot tub to our base camp in Johnstone Strait has set a new level of comfort to the camping experience. The few from the tub hard to beat anywhere in the world, but just wait till a pod of killer whales swim by. Over the top!!

We try to provide salmon on all our tours. We only eat wild pacfic salmon caught by local fishermen and women. Wild salmon is the main source of food for the killer whales so we will get a chance to enjoy the same food as what the whales eat.

This will be your view from our basecamp, across Johnstone Strait waters into Robson Bight Ecological Reserve and the Tsitika Valley. This is truly one of the most beautiful views on the West Coast of Canada.

Seeing Killer Whales in the Johnstone Strait from your kayak, is one of those breathtaking moments where you might just have to stop and pull out your heart monitor. The abundance of Killer Whales in this area, is a treat for those on our Johnstone Strait Ultimate tour.

Sea stars of the Pacific Ocean come in many forms. These sea stars are Sunflower Stars and are one of the most predominant predators for their prey. They are also the fastest sea star on earth. You'll see many different varities of sea stars one your stops in the Johnstone Strait. There is much more to Johnstone Strait than Killer Whales.
