| Mothership Adventure:
4 & 6 day kayak tour |
 |
Some would call this a fishermen's dream, standing in a hot tub fishing for salmon
off the side of our Mothership, the Songhee. |
 |
An ancient First Nations pole which is returning
to the earth. Poles with totems were constructed for various occasions,
indicating a recent marriage, or done in memory of a member from
a particular clan of people. |
 |
Soaking up the sun as the Songhee travels through
the Broughton Archipelago. Our guests can sun tan in style, on the
deck of the converted US navy supply vessel. The kayaks are transported
on the mothership, to have ready once we arrive at our choice location
within the beautiful archipelago. |
 |
Our guide Fred setting guests up for an afternoon paddle off our mothership, the
Songhee. The Broughton Archipelago is one of the most beautiful places in the
world to paddle. Paddling in the archipelago provides for adventures around every
corner in this complex ecosystem. |
 |
The breathtaking view from the bow of the Songhee
as we travel north into the archipelago amongst the islands. The
boat ride adds to the beauty of this tour - traveling in style in
the wilderness. |
 |
Aboard the Songhee you will be well fed with gourmet
meals prepared by our chef, Emma. Emma has been our chef since day
1 and keeps returning year after year, due to popular demand. As
you can see, dining while soaking in the hot tub in the Broughton
area may just end up being one of your favorite pastimes. |
 |
Our kayaking day trips take us to the most extraordinary
places, and then, after it all, we return back to the Songhee for
some pampering. Savor the views form the hot tub, dine on a delightful
meal and then enjoy some Orca dreams from your cozy bunk. |
