These moon jellies thrive in the waters of Desolation Sound. In some area they are so thick you can hardly see through them.

The island deer
It is not uncommon to see deer feeding on the shore line vegetation.

The Oyster catcher
These beautiful birds are abundant on the islands around Desolation Sound. There high pitched squeaking is a give away that they are nearby.
